Back to Fantasia

>*Finding the training fields again doesn't take too long. It's not a very big town after all.*

>*You look around for any sign of the pair, but no one appears to be around.*

<"Try Fantasia's House."

>*Past the training dummies and targets, near the edge of the meadow is a wooden house. You knock hesitantly and hear a muffled voice reply.*

>Fantasia: Come in! Ah, it's the new world-hopper again. You faring well with getting your bearings?

<"It's all kind of confusing."

>*You give a so-so hand motion. You've managed to make your way around town just fine, but everything else hasn't been so easy to sort through.*

>Fantasia: Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it soon, our town's residents are mostly known to be quite helpful. Competitively helpful at times, even.

>Ah, but there may be things you haven't discovered yet.

>For instance, have you tried exploring the countryside yet? The locals like to accost people with riddles. It's a bit surprising at first but Lilia happens to love riddles so I've warmed up to the concept.

>How about it, do you want to give it a try? It shouldn't take too long to meet a local. Let's go now!

>*Chrominance seems to get excited at the idea of riddles.*

<"Sure, I'll tag along."

<It does sound kind of fun...

>*An endless expanse of fields and greenery greets you as you begin your stroll with Fantasia.*

>Fantasia: Now, all we need to do is travel along at our own pace and chat with people along the way. Sometimes you might even meet charitable individuals or other mysterious things.

<"I'm off to adventure."

>*Fantasia is whistling as they stroll, they appear to be familiar with some of the locals already.*

>*The stroll is...nice. The air is refreshing, and it's peaceful. It's not long until the two of you come across someone asking to solve a riddle.*

>Riddler: I can beat without a drum and break without a sound. What am I?

<Oh, that's easy!

<"A heart."

>*You bring your hand to your chest.*

>Riddler: Correct!

>Fantasia: Hey, you're pretty good at this.

>*You continue your stroll for a while longer. You begin to enjoy it more as you go along, and its nice to wrack your brain around something other than the strange circumstances you're in. Even Chrominance manages to answer some of the riddles you encounter.*

>Well, what did you think? Interesting, right? Sometimes when I get too cooped up in town, I come out here to get some exercise and clear my head.

>Let's go back to my home, you can join me for tea if you'd like.

>*You follow Fantasia along the path back to their house. They put a pot of water on to boil and you stand around admiring their rustic wooden furniture.*

>*You wonder how hard it would be to find a permanent place to stay...the camping method probably isn't sustainable long term.*

>How do you like your tea? I have-

>*The door suddenly bursts open and Lilia enters, looking excited.*

>Lilia: Fantasia! You wouldn't believe- Oh, you have company! Ahem, hello world-hopper.

<"Hello."

>*You wave to her.*

>Lilia: Apologies for my hasty intrusion without knocking, I hope I didn't startle you. Are you well?

>Fantasia: We just went adventuring for a little bit, they didn't know about the riddles.

>Lilia: Oh, a good pastime if I do say so myself. Some of those riddles can be so tricky though!

>Fantasia: What were you about to tell me when you came in?

>Lilia: Ah, I almost forgot! I was planning to tell Fantasia about how I trained the right qualities today.

>Fantasia: That's good news. Did you train as much as you needed?

>Lilia: Yes! I managed to get past that hurdle I was struggling with.

>*You give Lilia some applause to show your excitement for her.*

>Fantasia: You've traveled through most of Louise Hill now haven't you? I expect you've met a few of the people who live here too, like us. Would you like to know about other regions?

>Lilia: Fantasia is well traveled, they'll be able to answer your questions!

<...Maybe travelling will help me figure out why I'm here...?

<"What kinds of other places are out there?"

>*You gesture to Fantasia that you're interested to hear more.*

>Fantasia: There is a mysterious forest and some mountains to the east.

>South of Louise Hill, you'll reach the coast, something notable that you might find is a trading port near the southern coast that's easily accessible by all travelers.

>Lilia: The roads to the port are frequented by many traders and caravans! We think this might be why Peddler's Port is such an easy place to reach, despite the distance.

>Fantasia: You're right Lilia. World-hopper, I would give you the advice of traveling there and seeing the sights, there are all sorts of peddlers and people from distant lands. I wonder if the people at the port remember me...

>...Anyways, do you have any other questions?

<"I've learned enough."

>Fantasia: We're glad to be of help!

>Oh! Before I forget...

>*Fantasia goes to retrieve something from another room. When they come back, they hand the item to you.*

>*It looks to be a chalkboard, with a piece of chalk attached on a string.*

>I found that last night while doing some cleaning. I figured that would be easier than needing to pantomime all the time.

<"Thank you!"

>*This is so much easier than hoping people know what you're miming. You don't think you could get across how greatful you feel for this.*

>Fantasia: Ah, it's no problem.

<Descant: My name is Descant, by the way.

>Fantasia: It's good to meet you.

>Did you have somewhere to be? I think I've kept you for long enough.

>Lilia: That reminds me, I believe Bearnard was looking for you earlier. Maybe you should pay him a visit. Take care, Descant!

<Me specifically...? Wonder why...

<"See you later."

>*You thank both of them for everything and set off for Bearnard's.*
